Park & Recreation:
Pegram has one-multi-purpose City Park. Many of the Town's larger events
are held in the park area, including the annual Independence Day Celebration, the annual
Christmas in Pegram Park, and the annual PVFD City Halloween Cookout.
"Friends of Pegram Park" is a group of concerned citizens who
meet on the 1st Monday of each month at GGoose and Gander DayCare at 6 PM. The
"Friends of Pegram Park" group is responsible for such activities as the 'Pegram
Night at the Nashville Sounds". The group has their own logo and invites ANY
interested party to attend the monthly meetings. They do not require you to live inside of
the city limits to be part of their group. Denise Kidd is the chairperson of "Friends
of Pegram Park". Their voice line number is 615-646-9820.
The park includes three ball fields, bating cage, a covered picnic area
with shelter and fireplace, a stage area, numerous picnic tables and grills, children's
playground, walking track, basketball and lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court,
the city fire hall and much more. The park entrance is located off Thompson Road - just
down from the Community Club and the Little Red Caboose at the intersection of Hwy
70/Thompson Road.
Annual Events for the Town of Pegram
Pegram Independence Day Celebration begins with an all-you-can eat
pancake breakfast followed by the patriotic parade, BBQ lunch, many contest, games,
prizes, fireworks, etc. etc. No admission fee. 646-0773
Pegram Fish Fry is a 50-year-old tradition from before the Town of
Pegram was incorporated. Thousands of pounds of Tennessee River catfish are served with
all the fixings each March at the Pegram Community Center. For more information, call

PVFD City "Appreciation" Halloween Cookout: A time where the
PVFD has open house, refreshments, entertainment, hayrides, etc. to show their
appreciation to all those who have supported the Town of Pegram Volunteer Fire Department
through the year. No admission fee. 646-6800 or 646-0773.
Christmas in Pegram Park - The celebration begins with the annual Town
of Pegram Christmas Parade followed by the celebration held in the City Park. All four
churches in the Pegram Community come together to form the Pegram Community Choir for the
occasion. Free entertainment, free refreshments, Santa & his elves (bring your own
camera), "Love Lights a Tree" - - county tree for the American Cancer Society,
Pegram Business Christmas Decorating Contest etc. etc. No admission cost. 646-0773.

- Where City Sewer is not available, the State Environmental Office performs the
inspections. For information about the City approved septic tank for the Town of Pegram,
